Rojenia cislunar station

Rojenia (its name meaning "moonshine") was a Polish space station that operated in cislunar space. It was designed to work as a cycler, on a 3:1 resonant orbit, meaning it periodically flew close to the Earth and the Moon, providing the crew with ample, safe space on their trip to and from the satellite. Its assembly began in October 1989, and throughout the 90s and 2000s it was used as a scientific research platform by both international partners and private companies. It was deorbited in 2012, after the rise of third generation space stations rendered it obsolete.
